CSV Storm Valve — Back Pressure Valve & Safety Joint

Model CSV Storm Valve is a combination of back pressure valve and safety joint that is run above a CJ-A / CJ-B Storm Packer or other compression set service packers, in order to provide well control protection during temporary abandonment of the well, without having to pull the bottom hole assembly.

The Storm Valve allows the packer to remain set and permit disconnection and retrieval of the drill pipe or tubing and the upper sub of the valve, while at the same time automatically closing the Storm Valve, isolating the drill pipe below the packer.

FEATURES

• Can be easily run by rotating the tubing string to open and close the valve
• In emergency, can pump down the plug to open the drill pipe passage
• Designed to be used with right-hand compression set packers only
