CMR Mechanical Set Cement Retainer

The Model CMR Mechanical Set Cement Retainer is used for secondary cementing, acidizing, or fracturing operations. It is compact, has a small OD, and is designed for easy drill-out. A ratchet lock ring stores the setting force in the plug. The one-piece packing element and metal backup rings combine for a superior seal. The case-hardened, one-piece slips virtually eliminate premature setting while remaining easy to drill out.

The pressure-balanced sleeve valve is opened and closed by tubing manipulation from the surface for better control. It allows for a tubing pressure test before squeezing. The valve closes automatically when the stinger is picked up, thereby locking in the squeeze pressure. The valve protects sensitive zones in low-fluid wells.

The Model CMR Mechanical Set Cement Retainer is set with tubing or drill pipe using the Model CSR Mechanical Setting Tool.

Setting and squeezing can be performed in one trip without retrieving the setting tool.
